Fight Opinion Radio #84: Zuffa’s new marketing rights agreement

This week, it’s the return of Judge Jeff Thaler and our honorable guest on the show is Rob Maysey of MMAFA.tv fame. Rob recently posted an article about Zuffa LLC’s new marketing rights agreement that fighters are supposedly being offered and asked to sign. We’ll talk about all of the positives and negatives of the agreement, along with discussion of where the future of MMA is going in terms of fighter representation and marketing rights.

A setback for Matt Hughes

NBC Sports is reporting that Matt Hughes suffered a torn MCL in his left knee during his UFC 85 London fight against Thiago Alves. On his personal web site, Hughes says that he has a torn MCL & partially torn PCL.
Fortunately, the ACL in the left knee was not torn or else that would have required surgery and Hughes’ career might have been finished.
