Perception or reality about EXC

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Sengoku is teasing that this match could be booked soon. Interestingly enough, the gimmick for the match may revolve around an old “Showa” Japanese pro-wrestling match stipulation from the 1970s era — a ‘jacket match.’ Only back then, they were called Judo Jacket matches.

King Mo and his umbrella

The pro-wrestling gimmick assigned to him by Sengoku involves him having a ‘beautiful Japanese queen’ at his side at all times. (a King must have a queen. See? See?)

Kimbo Slice interview on 9/25 edition of PTI (ESPN)

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

Audio link here. This was not a good interview at the beginning, even with Dan Le Batard asking most of the questions. It improved a little bit towards the middle with Kimbo doing his best Dusty Rhodes impersonation as a common man. “James Thompson fought in Pancrase over in Japan.” “He has a good chin.” […]

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

She’s mad as hell and isn’t going to take it any more! Carano said she has hired a nutritionist and added, “I’ve got really high expectations for this weigh-in.” When’s the last time you heard a fighter say, “I’ve got really high expectations” for a weigh-in? In an interview with UGO, Carano addressed the topic […]
