Interested in Xande Ribeiro vs. Hidehiko Yoshida?
By Zach Arnold | September 29, 2008

Sengoku is teasing that this match could be booked soon. Interestingly enough, the gimmick for the match may revolve around an old “Showa” Japanese pro-wrestling match stipulation from the 1970s era — a ‘jacket match.’ Only back then, they were called Judo Jacket matches.

Gotta give it to the Japanese promoters, I would LOVE to see that fight, tho Yoshida is looking old and weathered, he’d be a good challenge for Xande.
So……can you win by ippon then? That would be pretty cool. Or not, I don’t know.
Is Xande gonna spend this whole match trying to Judo throw him? Cause watching him try to take down a wrestler was pretty sad.
I love me some BJJ and felt pretty let down by that match. And Yoshida … man.
Oh well, I’m probably not who they’re aiming for with this anywho.
PS – only in the middle of the night can I access your site without it 500-ing on me. I thought it was the 4.2million feeds, but now maybe the captcha. Sometimes when I check the source on a failed page reading, it’ll have everything right up to the capthca. And yesterday I got the page to load up until the captcha section where it stuck a 500 error right in the comment section. And earlier today the page loaded fine except the captcha was missing so I couldn’t comment.
Just an FYI. Feel free to delete this.
PPS – I’ve had it happen in IE and FF. And I’m on cable.
If this is what they book for 1/4, Roger Gracie is done in Sengoku.
