Thats a pretty solid tourny…though they are feeding Andy Ologun to Kohi. Im hoping to see Sato/Kohi in the finals as they are pretty much the best K-1 MAX japan fighters outside of MASATO.
SHINOBU is on a serious slide, it’s almost cruel to have him face Buakaw at this point. TATSUJI vs. HAYAT0 is great matchmaking, and it’s nice to see Keiji Ozaki get a spot in the Japan GP. I assume it’s an unwritten rule that the RISE DEAD OR ALIVE winner gets a tournament spot.
Eh I dont think thats going to be everytime but u know its a nice little prize to be given.
Also, Sato facing Shirasu is smokes and jokes. Do FEG really get off on making Sato fight the shortest people possible?
On the Sakuraba/Akiyama thing…..Appearantly someone posted the fight where Saku was trying to protest while getting beat down, complete with subtitles in Japanese AND English.

Jeez, that’s terrible.
Looks like Saku wasn’t defending himself because he was hoping the ref would call the time out any second.
Not very clever but then again his head has taken more punishment than the underarms of Akebono’s spandex suit.
