Reports: Xyience founder Russell Pike indicted on tax evasion charges
By Zach Arnold | April 16, 2009

Update (4/17): A day after Russell Pike’s indictment, Xyience issues this press release. Celebrate.

Rich Bergeron has a report, which includes a link to the indictment document. Bergeron’s article is a fascinating read and is a continuation of his long foray into covering the problems Xyience (at one time, UFC’s biggest sponsor) has had over the last several years.
I guess this should be dismissed because MMA bloggers aren’t real journalists. 🙂
What is it about UFC and their track record with corporate sponsors?

Who needs Xyience when you can get fraudulent poker companies on board?
Whatever you do, don’t go to Cagepotato for this news. They have it all ass backwards. Pike, despite his current and past issues, was good to the fighters Xyience sponsored. The Fertittas as Xyience owners paid the organization’s Xyience sponsorship before paying the measley fighter sponsorships from Xyience (which totaled a few hundred grand). The organization’s millions of dollars in unfeasible sponsor deals for the middle of the mat space was only done to speed up the bankruptcy process and allow the Fertittas to steal Xyience for themselves.
