weird, lots of rumors that Couture is about ready to sign for a fight V Lesnar in Nov. as part as a multi fight deal. Shouldnt they just be quashing thing lawsuit then?
Part of the deal is the settlement. If the settlement falls apart the case moves forward.
I’m really burned out by this legal battle. After the Gonzaga and Sylvia fights I was hero worshiping the guy, but not so much now.
I hope Randy works things out with the UFC just so we can see him fight. He’s losing valuable time.
If Couture/Lesnar happens, I think Lesnar is the favorite to win. Here are the reasons:
1. 15 Months of inactivity for Randy Couture.
2. Eventually, age will catch up with somebody.
3. Tim Sylvia was tailor made for Couture. He was big, but could easily be taken down. Gonzaga lacked the heart. Lesnar is a HUGE Heavyweight, will be nearly impossible for a 46 year odl man to take him down, and could be taking some huge punches on the feet.
It’s weird to say that Lesnar could be a UFC Heavyweight Champion with a record of 3-1, but if tht fight happened, that is exactly what will happen.
The only problem is that Lesnar is a sitting duck against Nogueira, who eats up guys like him for lunch.
UFC has money on their side in defending legal fiasco’s like this… but Couture is successful and has power players behind him so hopefully he can flex his power muscles at the monopoly greed machine that is D Dubya!
“monopoly greed machine” Bravo sir, I look forward to more of your insightful comments.
