Jesus that’s a lot of fights! Holy fuck man! That’s either combat sport heaven or way over-saturation.

  2. Zack says:

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a jacket match?

“It’s basically MMA rules between MMA fighters from different styles.

It seems that you get 1 point for a submission (when you have one locked in, “catch” like Shooto used to have), 2 points for a knockdown, and 2 points for throws/takedowns.

The fighters will wear the clothes from their respective martial art.

Yamada will wear Pankration clothes, Kim will wear Taekwondo clothes, Shimizu will wear Sambo clothes, and Sugita will wear Karate clothes.”

  3. 45 Huddle says:

That really is an all day festival. Those seats better be comfortable.

Out of the around 25 fights…. I care about exactly ONE of them… Which is the Sandro/Hioki fight.

    • smoogy says:

If this gets you more into it, Blanco, Jadamba and Enomoto would all beat the snot out of more than a few of their UFC counterparts, and all of them are in good matchups with exciting opponents.

Also, Buakaw vs. Nakajima is one of the better 70kg K-1 rules fights booked this year.

A few probably, more than a few not likely.

        Hell yes it is.

  4. Zack says:

Thanks for the info FD…sounds interesting.

I hope Kazuo has been forgiven enough to reclaim his potential.

One of the baddest “outside” japanese dudes with a grip of potential!

  6. Coyote says:

Park vs Blancois gonna be an amazing fight. But guys are true prospect’s.

The lower price for the event is around the 50 dollar’s.

Is an all day festival, and i hear that is gonna be like an expo and a music show during the event.

  7. Garrett Bailey says:

dude. totes magotes. def gone livestream this shit.

  8. Jonathan says:

I wish that I would be there for that!

  9. PaulH says:

It’s nice, too, that HDNet is going to broadcast this over 2 weeks (they really couldn’t do it live, what with its length and televising Dynamite). Friday, January 14 will be part 1, and the conclusion airs 1/21.

    HDNet rules.

    Here’s the source: http://tinyurl.com/254jh26 (don’t care if it’s tape-delay; it’ll be must-DVR for me).
