Forrest Griffin vs. Tito Ortiz on 11/21 in Las Vegas

It’s a good fight for both men to take, as Ortiz will have an built-in excuse of ring rust if he loses.
The big loser? Rashad Evans, who does seem hellbent on fighting Thiago Silva in a match not many casual fans care about.
Griffin/Ortiz seems almost imperative to book, especially if they need to rebound from bad business at the Staples Center show for the 10/24 PPV with Machida vs. Shogun.

Good point Brad, last line about multifight commitments. Thats the source of the problem.
And MK, like boxing there are many titles, not saying its the ultimate title or THE title to follow. But come on, its the companies titles.
So we and the journalists covering the sport are supposed to treat them like they matter because of that? This is retarded. The belts mean dick and should be treated that way.

not telling you the journalist to treat them like they are the holy grail. The “belts”, come on guy….you are talking about 1 belt here.
Its a generality. All the Strikeforce belts mean nothing too. Hell, so does the most watched one in the UFC. However, there’s a drumbeat about how they need to be respected. I don’t for a second do so.
Well if MMA was treated like boxing…which it shouldnt be. There would be promotors and NOT organizations. They would have organizational titles. Still would be worthless to media, lets face it.
