  1. jr says:

Tom is the Publisher’s Clearing House for people who’ve lost twice to Tim Sylvia

  2. Chuck says:

So I’m guessing Tim Sylvia is still part of the Affliction roster. But the question is….well, two questions……when’s the next Affliction card, and when is Tim Sylvia fighting? And who is he fighting?

  3. IceMuncher says:

The first thing I noticed was how small the crowd was, due mostly to the fact that the first thing they showed me was how small the crowd was.

It’s hard to build up hype with a weigh-in video when it starts by showing that all the spectators present for the event are loosely packed in the first 8 rows of one section.

  4. white ninja says:

The small crowd and a buzzing Jerry Millen – thats got to be the kiss of death

  5. 45 Huddle says:

Not only was the weigh-in crowd small, but the people they interviewed seemed to be out of their parents basement for the first time in a year. If somebody told me that was a crowd waiting in line at Comic Con for Battlestar Gallactica, I wouldn’t have second guessed it.

No matter how much the hardcore fans like or dislike this card…. It has no appeal to the casual consumer. And the UFC 93/94 PPV combo is going to guarantee this PPV doesn’t get a big buyrate.

Then the question becomes…. How much does Affliction want to continue to lose?

  6. Jeremy (not that Jeremy) says:

HDNet ran the Banned event last night (minus two prelims…which I think they ran, so I don’t really understand that).

I’m not sure if that will improve or kill buyer interest. Do you want more right now, or are you willing to wait a couple months to see it for free down the line?

  7. Michaelthebox says:

I doubt it’ll have any affect at all, Jeremy. Not many fans watch HDNet, the replay wasn’t publicized enough that many people were looking for it, and not enough people stay in on a Friday night to run across it accidentally.
