K-1: Hey, maybe you should forget about Fedor
By Zach Arnold | October 13, 2008

Now that Affliction has announced Emelianenko vs. Andrei Arlovski for January 24th, it’s starting to set in with K-1 that maybe the guy they were hyping for their NYE show last month won’t be fighting in Japan any time soon. The promotion is claiming that they will further discuss this ‘crisis’ (according to Nikkan Sports) at the end of the month.

Zach,do you think that Fedor not fighting on NYE will hurt the Dynamite rating? Ive not really heard anything so far about what K-1 are planning for this NYE,do you have any info?
bye bye dynamite
with no fedor and no softbank as main sponsor this could mean the end of fighting on NYE in Japan
Is Fedor really that big of a draw in Japan that his absence would hurt business? I thought Zach said before that Fedor wasn’t that big of a draw in Japan.
Fedor is one of the biggest draws in Japan. Hes on the NYE shows for years already. for them it would be ashame if that tradition were to be broken.
Then again.. id rather see Fedor in a good show against a great fighter than messing with choi on NYE.
