The entire card looks pretty bad so far. Jorge Santiago is the only guy fighting who’s won more than a couple recently. Masvidal, Schultz, Sasaki, Clark, Cahoon, Nakamura and Sugiura are all coming off of losses. Cyborg is 2-3 in his past 5 and Kondo is 5-6-1 in his past 12. Top to bottom the card is looking pretty shitty. No wonder they’re on the verge of folding.
Come on Zach. Sugiura has the olympic slam!!!
@Teufel: WVR is nowhere near folding. With the kind of financial backing they have, they could keep going almost indefinitely.
Not to mention the ankle lock and a mean spear.
I love Takashi Sugiura, and he’s one of the reasons NOAH is still the best professional wrestling promotion in the world. But I don’t need to see him outmatched (and possibly destroyed) in MMA fights.
ultimo santa not sure about. Noah always produces some awesome matched but I think New Japan is a better booked promotion these days.
NOAH and Dragon Gate all the way. They have all the talent.
Sugiura does have a pretty strong amateur wrestling background. If he can use it and get inside, he’ll stand a chance.
xande is the best bjj guy in the world and i know 1st hand, i feel sorry for your boys wrestler suigiura
