Tax day stack ‘o stuff (4/15/08)
By Zach Arnold | April 15, 2008
Eddie Goldman has a new radio show, reviewing the recent YAMMA Pit Fighting event. A preview:
This show was well-received by the fans in attendance, who cheered the victors in the two Masters’ Superfights, Oleg Taktarov and Pat Smith, and the one-night, eight-man single elimination heavyweight tournament, Travis Wiuff.

I try to be positive, but Eddie Goldman is a moron.
Dave,
I have to disagree with you.
I think he is more of a hack than a moron.
Well, lets agree that he is blatant in his dumb hackery.
When did Charles McCarthy become such a big-mouth?
Well, I’ll be damned.
He really did praise the show.
And we thought we’d shame him enough that he wouldn’t do it.
I’d like to point out that I was many many months ahead of the curve on hating Eddie Goldman 🙂
I don’t really hate him, he just likes everything that I detest, and hates everything I like. He’s from bizzaro world from where I stand.
I suppose it’s possible that I’m wrong, but I think it’s a lot more likely that he just likes different things than I do.
Goldman is one strange cat.
What does the guy do for a living that allows him time to cover combative sports in the ineffective manner he does?
I think Eddie’s a good guy but it does seem to completely unethical to praise one of your sponsors when it was pretty undefendably bad.
I understand putting across the alternate viewpoint but it’s just not credible in this case.
I’m listening to Eddie Goldman right now. It’s quite sad. He praises everything about YAMMA (except the ring announcer) then quickly reverts to attacking the UFC. And he tops it off with a crude comment about people making sure Dana White has a condom on when they bend over for him.
