OOOOHHHH SSHHEEEETTT!
This would be a great time for Collazo/Mosley to start. Instead Vivian Harris is boring his way to another decision.
I thought I was gonna have to run this shit by myself.
Big Perm and Krazy Horse winning on the same night is phenomenal. Nights like this are what make me fall deeper in love with this sport.
“Instead Vivian Harris is boring his way to another decision.”
Since I’m all over loving sloppy, technically inept fighters… war Carlos Maussa.
Royal – I demand you to give details about the XC matches, help us out with the professionalism. 🙂
Why is Gary Shaw mortified?
“Why is Gary Shaw mortified?”
Krazy Horse curbstomped KJ Noons back to Spam Island.
Bennett came on over and gave Shaw a big ol hug, man. He was showing the love!
MMA and boxing are a completely different game. When you bring in the takedowns and kicks… And then combine that with no gloves, it is a completely different world.
I agree that Shaw can’t be happy with that. He has Noons signed to both MMA & Boxing. A loss in one can’t help his career in either sport.
That was an exciting first round. My bad for not looking forward to this. Kendries looks over matched. Carrano very good on the feet and looked solid when the fight hit the ground. Nice head kick by Gina to close the round.
Awesome round 2. Carano all over Kenzie. Kenzie’s face is marked up. Carano having her way landing fists, elbows and kicks. Doesn’t look like she has the power to finish. Dropped Kenzie once.
Real nice Jack Dempsey style by Carano hitting Kenzie as she got up to one knee. I love that.
Three three minute rounds is terrible. They need to stop that shit.
Great fight. Excellent energy. Should be 3-0 for Carano. KEnzie fought her heart out, nothing to be ashamed of.
Kedzie was hand selected as a non-finishing undersized opponent for the posterchild Carano. Of course she has nothing to be ashamed of.
So, when is Carano gonna fight Merloes Coenen?
I just flipped to HBO and I’m not sure what happened but Howard Lederman is going nuts about a point being taken away form one of the guys in the 12th round of an even fight saying it was a screwball decision. As if I needed to be reminded why boxing is totally irrelevant as a sport. There are still great fights in boxing, and ones I look forward to (Collazo/Mosley for example), but the sport as a whole is literally worthless.
Jordan, a girl with a solid chin and ground game would beat Carano based on what I saw tonight.
“Jordan, a girl with a solid chin and ground game would beat Carano based on what I saw tonight.”
Can someone insert a “Captain Obvious to the Rescue!” picture in here for me?
Don’t be such a heel.
“Don’t be such a heel.”
I’m just clowning, bookerman.
Mauro needs someone of experiance to bounce off of.
“Mauro needs someone of experiance to bounce off of.”
Mauro actually needs to call Carano “The Queen of Muay Thai” one more time. Carano is the Queen of MT like Lutter is the Michael Jordan of BJJ.
LOL, I was just agreeing w/ you.
Villasenor has the fastest KO in MMA history? We’re just allowed to make up stuff about ourselves now?
Cool. I’m Roberto Duran.
I need to book you to become the Andy Rooney of Fight Opinion Radio. The ratings will go through the roof.
I’m gonna be honest, I like this fight. This is the best possible match up you could ever make between a guy coming off a loss to Robbie Lawler, and a guy coming off a loss to Mike Swick.
I’ve read on a couple of forum that some people think that this Showtime event signals the end of the UFC as the best MMA company in the US. It’s just too funny how these hardcore fans will talk.
Reminds me of the Apple Computer hardcores who talk about how Steve Jobs will take over the world. And in reality, Apple has less then 5% of the operating system market in the US. Ah, internet weirdo’s…. Have to love them.
Thinking about fast wins… wasn’t it Ranallo who did PBP of a Bushido show that had a 6-second stoppage?
Excellent analogy, MMA Critic. Apple is the vastly superior system but has a smaller market share. Though the Mac users in most cases know what they are doing with a computer and are highly skilled.
If Loiseau doesn’t want to fight, let’s get Big Perm back out here.
Loiseau looks mentally out of this. Like he wants no part of the fight.
And Chicks dig our Docks.
David Loiseau… for when Vitor Belfort just isn’t enough.
From the fight descriptions I am reading, it looks like Franklin beat the fight out of Loiseau about a year ago. He might never be the same again. Watching him barely throw a punch for 2 rounds against Swick was sad. I was never a David L fan, but he was obviously a shell of his former self.
Loiseau is getting paid significant money for his fight tonight. Much more than the $9,000 USD/per fight deal UFC had him under.
Nah man, Loiseau hit a sick Dynamite Kid-style flying headbutt on the canvas in round three, courtesy of Villasenor drilling him straight in the face.
He also fell out with hsi manager and fight team, didn’t he? He looked terrible tonight. Joe looked real good though. Worked the body, landed takedowns at will and at least twice would have demolished the Crow if knees & kicks to a downed opp were allowed.
Any word on the paid attendance for this card?
Loiseau getting paid $9,000 for his UFC fights was basically him getting underpaid. Loiseau getting paid $170,000 for 3 fight ($56,666.67 per fight) is him getting overpaid for a fight. No way he is worth that money.
Everybody loves Samoan Monsters. Bulldozers and Submission machines alike.
Entranceway still needs more dragon.
Eddie George loves it!
This is going to go past 12. Showtime better stay with the fights.
And we have cole slaw.
mmm-mmm good.
no showtime in canada 🙁
Why do I get the feeling while Shamrock rolls out to Springsteen, draped in the Stars and Stripes, that he doesn’t know fuck all about Khe Sanh?
I was thinking the same thing.
Typical moron thinks Born in the USA is a patriotic song.
I wouldn’t call Franky Shams typical.
From Meltzer: Shamrock did a combination Nick Bockwinkel/Buddy Rogers promo.
Listen, I’m as big of a pro-wrestling historian as anyone, but that statement flew over the heads of about 95% of readers.
iain. You don’t have Fight?
An atypical moron who thinks it is a patriotic song?
“The Crow” looked terrible against Joey V!
