FightSport UK Magazine Launches
By Mark Pickering | December 14, 2006

FightSport Magazine, a staple publication in France and more recently America, premiered its British adaptation at Cage Warriors’ Enter The Rough House event, before a capacity crowd at the Harvey Hadden Sports Centre, Nottingham, on December 9th.
To mark it’s launch the fledgling publication sponsored the night’s headline bouts, which crowned two new CageWarriors Champions.
In the main event Nottingham’s Dan “The Outlaw†Hardy bested Alexandre “Xandinho†Izidro to become the inaugural CWFC Under 73kg World Title holder, while PRIDE Welterweight Grand Prix quarter-finalist Gegard Mousasi overcome one-time PRIDE Bushido veteran Gregory Bouchelaghem to win the CWFC Middleweight World Title.
FightSport UK’s Editor-in-Chief, Jim Burman, stated the magazine would endeavour to provide high quality news, interviews, articles and reports that will cater to fans both old and new.
“Whilst the magazine is a truly worldwide effort I still want to publicise the best of the UKâ€, he added.
FightSport UK becomes the latest in a long line of upstart mixed martial arts publications in the UK, and will compete alongside FIGHTERS, Fight World Magazine and Fighters Only.
