Update: The one big media story today are the rumors/reports (here and here) that Mirko Cro Cop has undergone surgery and will not fight on New Year’s Eve for PRIDE. I think this is the direct link to the newspaper report.

Love RSS. Would love it even more on this site if you could get the full entry in the reader. You need to open it in your browser to get the extended as it is now.
I don’t know if it’s a bandwidth issue, just a default setting or something else.
He hasn’t undergone surgery yet, but he will.
Did CroCop injure his leg vs Silva or is it the old injury he’s had for some time now? I’m sure I remember him saying something about injuring his leg against Silva, but I’m not 100% sure…
Too bad if we miss a CroCop VS Fedor title match at new years…, but knowing Pride the show will be stacked anyways, so at least we can look forward for the fight happening sometime in 2007.
(If they decide to give the tournamets a rest…, which I hope, one in pride and one in bushido each year is getting on my nerves)
It’s the old foot infection injury that has been bothering him. There was also news that he broke a toe in his left foot and that the infection was still bothering him, and he said that he reaggrivated his foot in the Silva fight.
Also he was pushing himself way too much in the past few years, taking up too many fights and such. His foot could be in the same condition as Fedor’s hand so he really needs the surgery and a big break from fighting.
Didn’t he also say in a interview that he would of taken the whole year off if it wasn’t for the GP?
