DSE & Fuji TV’s relationship

Daily Sports has an article today talking about the future between PRIDE & the TV network that supports them, Fuji TV. As we noted a couple of days ago, 19-year boxing star Koki Kameda announced that he would have a fight on 5/5 at Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo. Today, it was announced that Tokyo Broadcasting System would carry the fight. The importance of this is that this event would theoretically go against the PRIDE 5/5 Osaka Dome show on Fuji TV – if the TV network carried it.
In the Daily Sports article, DSE is quoted as saying that nothing has been decided about Fuji TV wanting to brodcast the 5/5 Osaka Dome show. DSE management is quoted as saying that they will concentrate on SkyPerfecTV broadcasting the show as a PPV.
Without Fuji TV’s financial support from the PRIDE 5/5 Osaka Dome show, it could result in a big financial loss (as much as a couple of million dollars). The question now in PRIDE is about company leadership. With rumors of top management officials not being around, many of the lower-level employees are having to work very hard to promote the upcoming Bushido 4/2 Ariake Colosseum show and the 5/5 Osaka Dome show on their own.
