Fight Opinion Radio: Episode 1

The first edition of Fight Opinion Radio (part of the Fight Opinion Radio Network) is now online and available to download to listen to. Here are the options you can use to listen to the show (22 MB MP3 file, 1 1/2 hours long):

The streaming and direct download links mean that you can access the audio file from this server. The YouSendIt link is a temporary 7-day link that you can use if you want to download the show and save our server with bandwidth. Either option you choose is perfectly fine with me. A quick preview of Episode 1 of FOR:
- Adam Summers, Zach Arnold, Dr. Keith Lipinski, & Mike Sempervive compare notes about the PRIDE 12/31 Saitama Super Arena show. We compare notes on the differences between the Japanese TV version and the American PPV version. Plus we give quick thoughts on each of the top fights.
- All four of us sit down and analyze the ratings news coming out of the New Year’s Eve TV war between PRIDE & K-1. What do the ratings indicate in terms of trends? What do the Japanese fans want? Who were the big losers this night? We break down the data.
- On the conference call set-up, Zach Arnold has a special guest interview with The Predator. We give the listeners a special round-by-round detailed breakdown of the Predator vs. Remy Bonjasky fight. How did the fight come about? What was it like facing a world-class kickboxer? What is the secret to being competitive against someone like Remy? How did K-1 management and fighters react to the fight? The Predator gives us answers to all these questions – and a whole lot more, including a very interesting (and exclusive) news item regarding Remy.
- Adam, Mike, & Keith close out the show by discussing the now-infamous Heath Herring/Yoshihiro Nakao kissing incident. Plus more analysis of the numerous fights on New Year’s Eve and where the MMA industry is headed going into 2006.

awesome,was wondering when a new mma show would rear its head.Please get don frye on again as soon as possible.That guy is so damn funny
Great debut. Very tight. I love the roundtable discussion with all four of you, instead of the show being broken up into discussions involving different combinations of the group. An hour and a half to two hours is a perfect length. Its not too short, but its not a marathon. You’re able to “get your shit in”, in other words.
The NYE DVD from LAST YEAR isn’t even out yet.
Crocop hit Hunt with enough shots to level an average/good/great fighter. It’s to Hunt’s credit that he stayed up, not a knock against Crocop. To say that Crocop is washed up is ridiculous. He may need a break, but they should continue to keep him in the mix, potentially as a “gatekeeper” to the title. Every promotion needs a “second-level” guy that the new, hot guy needs to beat in order to challenge for the title.
