According to a new SEC filing for Pro Elite Inc., assets related to the organization will be put up for auction on a November 17th fire sale.

There are multiple media reports today claiming that Elite XC will not let its fighters become free agents. These fighters are stuck in limbo and will not be able to fight any time soon if they are not released from their contracts. While Jeremy Lappen and Gary Shaw made money in Elite XC management, fighters like Scott Smith and Joey Villasenor will be struggling to pay the bills and buy Christmas presents.

The Florida DBPR seemed apprehensive from the start in regards to opening up an investigation on the Kimbo Slice/Seth Petruzelli fight that Elite XC promoted on October 4th in Sunrise, Florida. Unfortunately for Elite XC, Petruzelli opened his mouth on a radio interview in Orlando and both the fight & general sports media started applying pressure. On Thursday, the DBPR ‘cleared’ Elite XC of any wrong-doing, despite the fact that T. Jay Thompson came out publicly and said that he thought there was a special arrangement in the Kimbo/Petruzelli fight. Now comes word that Nevada State Athletic Commission Keith Kizer was told by an Elite XC employee that there was an agreement of having no Muay Thai kicks in the Petruzelli/Slice fight.

Icon Sport promoter TJ Thompson, whose company was bought out by Elite XC, took Elite XC management to task in an interview with MMA Weekly on Tuesday. Thompson claimed in the interview that he was told by some people in the MMA business at Elite XC’s October 4th event in Sunrise, Florida that Seth Petruzelli was paid to stand-up against Kimbo Slice.

The Orlando Sentinel does no favors for Seth Petruzelli. On the same day that Elite XC reportedly closed up shop, the newspaper prints a ‘glowing’ profile article on how Petruzelli has become Elite XC’s new, big star. Oops.
