Wednesday, January 18th, 2006As fast as this site is growing, leave it up to the good folks at WordPress to decide to upgrade their system. I have managed to now integrate their new 2.0 system onto the conversational side of Fight Opinion, and needless to say it does operate a bit differently on the posting side. I will […]

Team Quest mania
Wednesday, January 18th, 2006By Zach Arnold Here’s a recent string of Internet articles regarding Team Quest and Randy Couture. Enjoy. And post responses or other TQ press links/articles here. Question of the Day: Which fight club/team is the best organization right now? I’m not talking about PRIDE, K-1, UFC, etc. I’m talking about groups such as American Top […]
UFN3: My Thoughts
Tuesday, January 17th, 2006UFN3 was a good event, outof 8 fights, 1 went to the judges. I like that. Here’s a few of my thoughts on the fights we got to see. Chris Leben vs Jorge Rivera Leben came into this fight pretty much as an underdog and once again proved his critics wrong. He seems to get […]

Kick-Shoot: January 14th 2006
Sunday, January 15th, 2006By Rob Sayers While promotions such as PRIDE, the UFC, and many other smaller organizations are often seen in the MMA press, many amateur promotions are taking shape across the country. These shows are giving tomorrows future stars their first taste of combat today and are very important to the growth of our sport. I […]
The Lost Generation
Sunday, January 15th, 2006I was reading a recent interview with Ricky Steamboat from the Monday Night Mayhem internet radio show where he was talking about the role of road agents in the WWE and he brought up a point worth taking note of.
“He (Steamboat) went back to when he wrestled, and how 90% of the locker rooms were seasoned, well-worked wrestlers — with only a few rookies. He says the percentage now is 70% of people still learning in the business, while the other 30% is the Triple H’s, Shawn Michaels’, Chris Benoit’s, and Kurt Angle’s.â€
There is a lost generation of veterans and veteran values in professional wrestling and it is a big reason why the business is in the state that it’s in.
