Armando Garcia, head of the California State Athletic Commission, has made quite a name for himself in MMA circles this year. The latest news is the suspension of Josh Thomson due to what was labeled as an offensive t-shirt. A t-shirt that offended the commission boss results in a suspension.
This Monday (December 18th) in Los Angeles at the Ronald Reagan State Building auditorium (300 South Spring Street in Los Angeles), the CSAC will hold a public meeting. Information about the meeting can be found here. There will be a public comment section of the meeting. This is your chance as a fan, writer, promoter, or fighter to give your opinion back to Armando Garcia and the CSAC board of appointees. If you are in the Los Angeles area, I strongly encourage you to attend the meeting.
This is the last chance for the public to address this commission in 2006 in a setting like this, so take advantage of the opportunity.
If you are a California resident and want to give your feedback on the job the CSAC has done with regulating MMA, you can use this online form or use this mail-in form.
