Blake Northcott’s new fighter-themed eBook delivers the goods

Promotional genius Blake Northcott wants you to pay attention… to her new book

Hey there – my name is Blake Northcott. I am a long-time Fight Opinion reader, and it probably goes without saying that like you, I’m also a rabid MMA fan.

Living in Canada, there isn’t much to do for nine months of the year besides shovel snow and plan trips to warmer climates (although some who are much more coordinated and athletic than myself like to ski). So, during the long winter months I decided to combine my passion for comics, action movies and mixed martial arts, writing a novel for the Amazon Kindle.

(Keep reading to find out more details on the book & to view wallpaper images).

Originally conceptualized as a series of comic books, it became clear that it would take far too long to get it out to the public – so I re-wrote it as a book called Vs. Reality. It’s an urban fantasy about a depressed fighter who manifests a super-power accidentally, but requires an addictive drug as a trigger to keep infusing him with his new-found but unstable abilities. It’s fast-paced, violent, and has a couple four-letter words for fans of the spicy talk.

(Editor’s note — Who knew she would be so inspired by Chael Sonnen? This site never seems to avoid MMA-related issues involving drugs.)

It’s basically the ‘anti-Twilight’ – if you’re a guy who likes action/adventure/sci-fi, but doesn’t want to read a book about sparkling vampires and hunky werewolves, this is for you.

Don’t let my looks fool you… this book isn’t about unicorns and rainbows. This one is for MMA fans, and if you get a chance, please take a look at the sample chapter over on my Facebook page. I hope you like it.

And if you’re on Twitter or Goodreads, let’s be friends.

For media inquiries, DM me on Twitter or leave me a message on my Facebook page. I would happy to do interviews.

Thank you!

PS: Here are a couple wallpapers for the book, based on the previous comic book artwork. Click on the thumbnail images to access the enlarged graphics.
