RSS lists for video, audio, and MMA news sites needed

By Zach Arnold | May 15, 2011

Print Friendly and PDF

We’re doing some Spring cleaning around here. We need to get rid of older feeds on the site and replace them with new sites that produce content you want to see headlines of generated on this page.

So, if you don’t mind, I’d greatly appreciate some RSS feed lists for the three categories I listed in the title of this post. Help me to help you out and I will gladly make the appropriate changes. Thanks.

    What’s up Zach?
I’d like to throw the RSS Fedd for MMAvalor.com into the hat for MMA news site.

    Thanks man

MMACrypt.com has a good collection of stories that’s available via rss feed by several sections. General, ufc and a strikeforce/dream/bellator feed.

My first comment is that, while I love this site and it’s always open on my PC and refreshed frequently, I would say I spent probably 95%+ of my fightopinion.com time on the left hand column, i.e. the articles. I open an audio file about twice a month and actually listen to probably one of the 2 that I download. I watch a video file about once every 3 months. The audio and video just take way too much of my time. Only if it’s a Greg Jackson interview about something specific or topical, or maybe a Cesar Gracie interview, then I’ll listen or watch it. Additionally I will listen to Gross or Helwani occasionally because I like their styles and they keep the topics fluid and interesting. Otherwise I could care less for all the audio and video stuff that is provided here. Not to say it’s bad, I just mean that I don’t personally care about it.

There are a ton of mma sites out there and many of them are good. I’m not sure the best way of selecting which would be ideal to be added to the left sidebar. Maybe via input that you are soliciting here will come up with a concensus of 10 or more good sites that would be worthwhile to be added.

On another note, I would not have any problem if you added advertisment at the top and to the left and right of links to articles and video/audio links. This would be a great way of generating money for all the work you do. I don’t think it would take anything away from the site, it is just pretty normal “biz as usual” to steal a phrase from Dana.

I’ll throw CageRiot.com into the fold as well. Thanks Zach!

I would like to respectfully submit my blog, It’s Fighting Stupid, for syndication. It’s a regularly updated multimedia blog that covers combat sports, specializing in breaking news and current events.
