  1. Dave says:

Wow, Kawajiri showed… nothing… at all here.

  2. CapnHulk says:

He had something with those heel kicks. A few more of those might have made Aoki loosen up a bit.

    “Now taste my feet.”

  3. Nader says:

I was disappointed at how short the whole affair was. The promotional video leading up to the fight was great and made me wished the UFC used similar hype videos.

  4. edub says:

One thing you can never doubt about Aoki is grip strength. Once that dude has one of your limbs you better be in crisis mode, because if he gets a position where he can apply pressure the match is essentialy over…

Kawajiri looked lost once Aoki grabbed his leg. I really expected a better performance outta him…

  5. Anders L. says:

Give Aoki Melendez inside a ring and Aoki will break another bone, Melendez stands no chance inside a ring.

  6. Zack says:

I still love Japanese MMA just for the rule set. If a dude is going for a kneebah, you should definitely be able to kick him in the head. The Unified Rules are fucking retarded. What is more powerful…a headkick where both guys are standing or a heel kick to the head when both guys are on the ground?

  7. grafdog says:

Aoki, with his singular super technique, has a menace and mystique analogous to the aura of the most feared ground attack specialist from 1993-4… Royce Gracie.
