Does this really merit its own post?
No, it does not merit its own post. This is as weird as the time Zach posted on Frank Mir’s interest in Richard Dawkins.
total side note question:
anyone know what happened with Satoshi Ishii? I thought he won a fight in Hawaii a couple weeks ago but it doesnt show on his record in sherdog.
It was an “exhibition” fight, though it seemed to be full MMA rules. He is fighting again next week somewhere in Europe.
I see. thanks.
Personally, I think the Che shirts are cliched to the point of ridiculousness (and basically a big \’FU\’ to his Marxist philosophy, which is probably the point). Now, if Overeem was wearing a Monkey Smashes Heaven shirt (or some other MTW-themed shirt), that would be something to note…
The screencap is missing the wonderful embroidered cigarette which really brings the whole thing together.
God forbid anyone be a Republican. Why would that bother any of you guys?
Yeah this is dumb. If you’ve ever been to college you’ve seen a bunch of people with Che Guevara t-shirts or posters in their dorms. They probably only vaguely know who he is, he’s just a symbol of empty rebellion for college kids. I doubt Overeem is a communist. Even if he is so what? The fighter’s politics don’t matter. I don’t care if Jeff Monson wants to be a commie, if Brock Lesnar wants to be a Tea Party member or if Fedor loves Vladimir “Pootie-Poot” Putin, I just care about their fighting. It’s not like they have to go on ABC This Week to be on their roundtable.
