I like that Kraus guy.
I haven’t heard about him in awhile.
I remember when he beat bang back when bang had retired from MMA to kickbox fulltime.
Solid event. Gonna be an ugly fight for “The Crusher.”
Good match-ups. Kyshenko vs Souwer should be a good fight. Holtzen can try and avenge an earlier loss to Por. Pramuk
I think Kawajiri has a good chance if he rushes in and goes hard and fast. If he lets Masato dictate the pace, different story.
I have noticed that Mike Zambidis hasn’t been in the last few Max events. Anyone know why?
Not sure why he hasn\’t been in Max, but he has had a bad run lately in Max and capped off recently by a hard-fought loss to Parr about a month ago in Australia.
Well, Zambidis hasn’t won in K1 since June 2007. He hasn’t exactly been on a roll of late, sadly.
Kawajiri and Kid both KO’ed. So, what happened to all those articles about how the striking prowess in MMA had caught up to K-1 standards again?
MASATO is still a bad bad dude. As much as I love Kawajiri hes very mechanical looking and sort of fights like a robot.
MMA striking is still within K-1’s level. These two loses don’t change that.
A side note… Kawajiri doesn’t even want to be kickboxing. He has no choice. K-1 tells him which one he is going to do.
“Kid Yamamoto’s no-good, very-bad-year became worse.”
DUDE, spoiler alert!
Not all of us can stay up until 4am on a Sunday night to watch the live feed from Japan…some of us have jobs and shit.
Give a brother time to DVR the event or catch the replay on HDNet. At least a 48-hour, spoiler-free window.
This is a news and opinion site. If you don’t want to see fight results don’t go to an mma and fight related website.
Problem solved.
Thanks Shane Sweeney. That was some goddamned awesome advice.
Anytime lil buddy!
They’re talking about it being Souwer and not the tournament champion like originally planned?
Guess they’ve got their contingency plan for when Petrosyan wins, they don’t want Masato anywhere near a good southpaw.
Maybe FEG should stop booking there MMA guys for Kickboxing bouts. Unless the kickboxer is old (Takeda) or coming of a big fight (Hari) the MMA fighter usually gets destroyed.
