Jenna Jameson gave birth to twin boys on Monday

By Zach Arnold | March 17, 2009

Print Friendly and PDF

I could have lead today’s morning update with this story in The Nassau Guardian newspaper which quotes Kimbo Slice as saying that he will officially become a boxer.

Or I could link to headlines across every world newspaper talking about Jenna Jameson & Tito Ortiz becoming new parents to twin boys. Congratulations are definitely in order to the new family.

Don’t worry — I’ve saved the hard-hitting news items like vaseline usage in MMA for later tonight. You know you want to read more about it.

  1. Dave says:

Well, they didn’t need vaseline to get the kids out, that is for sure.

    Low blow?

  2. maybe, but she can’t feel anything around that area anyways

  3. jmechanic says:

Actually, they probably did need Vaseline.

    Those are Tito Ortiz’s kids!!!

    Ziinngger

  4. Fluyid says:

*combines observations about Jenna’s porn career and Tito’s head size into one joke*

  5. Ultimo Santa says:

Dave, I’m going to be smiling for the rest of the day because of that. Thank you.

This is already one of Fight Opinion’s best threads ever.

  6. Chuck says:

Congrats to Tito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson. Considering how used up Jameson is, I doubt it was a hard birth and I am willing to bet she felt anything.

But, onto more pressing matters, anyone read the piece (tee-hee! Piece!) on Kimbo Slice? He’s going into boxing because MMA training is too hard? What a dolt. At least in MMA he won’t take as much head trauma. In boxing he might be a vegetable when it’s all said and done. And I doubt he can bob and weave or defend properly, so he’s better off in MMA.

  7. jmechanic says:

He didnt say he is switching because MMA training is too hard. He just said it is more complex and that boxing training can be just as grueling.

I dont know if I buy this. Kimbo will undoubtedly (in my mind) do better in MMA than boxing. Boxing is a whole different animal and as much as its one-dimensional compared to MMA, it is a very tough sport that chewed up and spit out many a street tough. MMA is more appropriate for a streetfighter like Kimbo. He may have to find that out the hard way at the hands of a journeyman boxer.

  8. Terry Querns says:

good story on fightlinker about the gsp hearing and how the case has already been decided, http://www.fightlinker.com/today-is-the-day-nothing-happens.mma

  9. Dave says:

Kimbo to boxing means he is just trying to extend his fame. He’ll fight some losers, then maybe make it to moderate opposition and look foolish. Maybe he can work with the Shaws again?

  10. mattio says:

He needed to have his hand held until he was ready to take on the Seth Petruzelli’s of the world. Good riddance.

I wonder if this will happen again. A fighter chosen as the face of an org and a long line of has-beens and tomato cans get lined up for him to take on – in the main event. Oh, geez. I hope not.

  11. 45 Huddle says:

Only a guy as dilusional as Tito would think marrying and having babies with a girl like Jenna is a great thing.

As for Kimbo…. I will be happy if he moves to boxing. MMA is better without him. I don’t mind crazy characters…. I just don’t like how he was pushed so hard as being so great with EliteXC.

  12. samscaff says:

How is it Kimbo’s fault that EliteXC and the mainstream media branded him as the face of MMA?

Its not his fault and he has absolutely nothing to do with how he is portrayed by others. I hate that people like 45 cant see beyond and that and give the guy a break.

  13. spacedog says:

Man you guys are assholes. Sure she did porn so what? You watch porn and jerk off so I’m not sure what the problem is.
Crack a joke if its funny but don’t pile on the poor girl.
Here’s to Tito and Jenna, proof that there’s someone for everyone.

  14. samscaff says:

    awwww, poor porn star.

She chose to guzzle cum for a living, and being the laughing stock of the rest of society comes with the territory. Tough.

  15. Asa says:

Yeah Samscaff, if you got paid a grand-a-pop to get down with your favorite pornstars, would you be insulted by your buddies? No. But misogynist perspectives on sex totally pwn you, so we get brilliant threads like this one that make MMA fans look even more like knuckle-draggers than the sports world already thought we were. Awesome.

I’d expect this on Cagepotato, FL or Sherdog, but here? Disappointing.

  16. Ultimo Santa says:

Don’t cry for her. Jenna has tens of millions of dollars (maybe more) from the guzzling of the aforementioned cum.

I think anyone on this board would trade a bunch of internet MMA fans poking fun at them for that kind of cash.

  17. 45 Huddle says:

    samscaff,

Where did I blame Kimbo? I said I would be happy when he moves to boxing.

It isn’t exactly Kimbo I can’t stand. He was just being opportunistic. It’s what he represented, which was really EliteXC’s fault. And even though EliteXC is still gone, that legacy is still with him to a certain degree. So it will be better when he is out of MMA. Won’t have to hear some of the dumb casual fans asking about Kimbo Slice anymore.

As for Jenna… It’s easy to say people choose their professions, but sometimes life’s circumstances create people. She was gang raped by 7 or 8 guys in Montana. That trauma likely led to her becoming a porn star. Sad really.

  18. Dave says:

“Crack a joke if its funny but don’t pile on the poor girl.”

Getting piled on was a part of her job.

I’m pretty sure everybody knows the joke is on everybody else, though, as she became a multi-millionaire and one of the most successful females in the world. Go figure.

“But misogynist perspectives on sex totally pwn you, so we get brilliant threads like this one that make MMA fans look even more like knuckle-draggers than the sports world already thought we were. Awesome.”

I’m sure if there were a male pornstar to insult in this post it would be happening. There has been enough Tito and Kimbo insults hurled around already.

So I don’t know, trying to sound like the distinguished white knight coming to the rescue of the fair, multi-millionaire dame and then talking down everybody isn’t helping your case.

  19. Ultimo Santa says:

Back when Kimbo Slice was just a guy who fought fat guys in backyards and parking lots, I would read comments like “I think the only guy who would stand a chance against Kimbo would be Fedor”, and “he could KO any MMA fighter with one punch”.

So it was more than a little satisfying to see an out-of-shape, pink-haired Ultimate Fighter washout KO him in 14 seconds.

In the end, Kimbo Slice a celebrity, not a fighter. He’ll go where the largest paycheck is, and right now that looks like boxing.

And once again, MMA wins, boxing loses.

    🙂

  20. Mark says:

Like Fightlinker’s article today pointed out, I feel bad for Jenna and Tito’s kids. They’re going to be bullied to the point of insanity when they go to school. You don’t have a chance when your mother is the most famous porno star of all time. Girls could survive, but two boys? They don’t stand a chance.

  21. spacedog says:

You know Dave I though your comment was funny. It was clever and referenced the larger context of MMA. So was the piling on comment, a shot at me and at her former career.
But I just don’t get the hatred and complete lowbrow crap talking because she did porn. Yeah, she sucked a lot of c##k, I eat a lot of Sn@$ch. And guess what, if any of us had a friend who was sleeping with a porn tatrlet-say Sasha Greyhttp://www.vivacinema.it/wp-galleryo/sasha-grey/sasha-grey.jpg- it would be high fives all around.
I think her weird morph from human into skinny silicone alien is way worse than having a lot of sex.
And lastly, its kind of cheap to choose the day she gives birth to crap all over her, use the other 364 days out of the year for that if you must.

  22. spacedog says:

MArk, this might be true but with a dad like Tito at least you have to figure they’ll know how to fight.

  23. Jim Allcorn says:

First off, about Kimbo’s chances of realizing any real success at boxing.
    They’re slim & none.

He went down face first from a JAB thrown by a mediocre punching MMA lightheavyweight. So, what makes him or his people believe that his chin’s going to stand up to the demands of even clubfight level heavyweight boxing?!!

Oh sure, they’ll be able to find a few barely warm bodies for him to bowl over for a while, but once the heavy leather starts flying back at him from fighters with even average power, he’ll be toast. Guaranteed.

  24. Fluyid says:

I don’t think he’s ever going to be anywhere as good as Butterbean, for example.

  25. Jim Allcorn says:

Now, regarding Jenna & all the “humor” aimed at her here on this thread today.

I’m hardly what you’d call a big fan of her previous line of work, nor is Tito a particular favorite fighter of mine. But, really, guys. Can’t we have a bit of respect here for them as human beings?

No matter what we may think of them or their body of work as performers or athletes, they don’t deserve to be vilified & insulted on the day of their children’s birth for Pete’s sake.
    Especially Jenna.

I agree with the previous poster who stated that there’s a rather nasty misogynistic tone to all the insults aimed her way here & elsewhere. Of the sort that demean her as a human being just for the line of work she engaged in to earn her living.
Not that the porn industry needs another apologist, they have plenty enough I’m sure, but what makes it OK to subject her to the most vile comments & insults possible just because she had sex on camera?

Obviously there’s a large enough market for her performances to have earned her plenty of fame & fortune. Which admittedly, opens her up to a certain amount of puplic scrutiny, but what if she were your sister or cousin or friend? Maybe your wife?
Would you still be so quick to condemn her & state that her & her husband are unfit to have children?

    I highly doubt it.

  26. Jim Allcorn says:

    Fluyid, Butterbean?

    Oh, HELL no!

I completely agree with you on that point.
Say what you will about Eric Esch, but his years on the Toughman circuit prepared him for a pro boxing career a helluva lot better than Kimbo’s handful of backyard brawls did.

Plus, ‘Bean’s size, his thickness from his head down to his legs & his low center of gravity made him a very durable guy for other lower echelon level fighters to face. Allowing him to withstand whatever was thrown at him until he was able to land his own heavy blows on the vast majority of occasions. A luxury that Kimbo WON’T have based on what we saw of his chin against Petruzelli.

  27. Ivan Trembow says:

What we learned from the NSAC’s “not a disciplinary hearing” today: Even though the position of all major sports, including MMA, regarding steroids and other forms of cheating is that it doesn’t matter if it happened intentionally or unintentionally, it just matters that it happened, that is apparently not the case with all forms of cheating.

In the case of vaseline being illegally applied to a fighter’s back, which undeniably did happen, instead of it being treated similarly (ie, “It doesn’t matter if it happened intentionally or unintentionally… it happened”), instead it’s treated along the lines of, “It can’t be proven that it happened intentionally, so it’s almost like it didn’t happen at all.”

Also, I could not agree more with Jim Allcorn’s post (post #25).

  28. 45 Huddle says:

Based on the current rules, GSP did not do anything illegal. Do those rules need to be changed? Probably.

However, they can’t punish a guy, or make a fight a no contest if a rule was not broken.

The NSAC is doing nothing wrong here. If they did what you are implying they should do (which is take disciplinary action against GSP), they could open up a huge can of worms by not following their own rules. And that would make no sense.

  29. 45 Huddle says:

As for post #25…. I know of females who are related to me (not part of the immediate family) who I would classify as “whores” for their actions.

So while my comments weren’t as bad as other’s… I’m talking about Jenna no differently then I would about my own family. If somebody is having sex for money… she’s a whore. And she should be open to all the amounts of laughter that comes with the profession.

Lastly, I wouldn’t marry a woman who was a porn star. I would be wrapping it and throwing her to the curb… Or perhaps she would be throwing me to the curb. Who knows. A woman who gives away her body for a living lacks a certain self worth. What are a few more insults?

  30. Ultimo Santa says:

    Oh the humanity!

  31. Dave says:

Wait, so, 45 has “ladies of the night” in his life? As this thread has turned apologist, I’ll say good for you, 45, keep up the great work.

I don’t think anybody is trivializing a woman giving birth as much as looking at the absurdity of Tito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson as parents. It is nothing about them as people as much as their pasts and the attention that they’ll get as well as the children will get.

We can open up our arms and embrace said couple’s kids and pretend to be above the rest of the world, or just admit that it is ridiculous that the most famous pornstar of all time and one of the most famous MMA fighters of all time (in his own mind).

err, had kids and are probably going to be media whores about it.

  32. 45 Huddle says:

I do not have ladies of the night. Just saying if I ever had a chance with a porn star (which I wouldn’t), it wouldn’t be anything serious. They all seem crazy.

  33. Jim Allcorn says:

45, obviously you & I are going to have to agree to disagree on this matter.

While you certainly have every right to your own opinions & moral beliefs, I’m not at all comfortable judging a woman based on her past. Even if that past involved something like sex for money or many, often multiple sexual partners.

I mean, honestly, though we may all like to believe that our significant others stepped out of a convent just prior to meeting us, that’s not reality. So, IMO, whether she be a virgin or a former-porn star, a woman deserves respect regardless.

  34. spacedog says:

“vaseline being illegally applied to a fighter’s back, which undeniably did happen”

Ivan, you are so far from right about this. First off, as I have pointed out, vaseline was not applied to his back. Your use of words suggests, and would be taken to mean by a normal person, that vaseline was directly and intentionally applied to GSP’s back- as in straight out of the bottle.
Applied means put directly on. I apply sun block to my face, if some gets on my arm when I wipe my brow you would not say I also applied sun block onto my arm.

An incidental amount of left over vaseline was applied to GSP’s temples, neck, shoulders, and THEN back.
Only Phil Nurse knows if this was intentional.

If you can’t see the difference between this and steroids than you need to stop posting and go take a critical thinking course.

As for punishments, as 45 and many others, including the NSAC have pointed out, no rules were broken, so I’m unclear why you think GSP should be punished. Rule change to avoid this problem sure but no rules were broke. Thankfully cooler heads than yours run these agencies.

  35. spacedog says:

One more point, Ivan, there are many rules where intention matters. Take a groin shot. If a fighter accidently kicks another in the twig and berries than its usually no harm no foul and a five min rest. If the Ref, or SAC thought it was intentional you would see some major shit come down.
Look at Babalu. fighters hold chokes all the time and usually they are thought to be “caught up in the heat of battle” but Babalu said that he INTENDED to hold the choke a little too long and hey presto all the difference in the world. A fine and suspension? (don’t remember) plus he was dropped like a hot rock from the UFC.

  36. Ivan Trembow says:

Spacedog— Even that is inconsistent. There was no doubt that Cheick Kongo intentionally struck his opponent in the groin in his last fight, but there was no punishment for it because it just happened to be shortly after his opponent landed what appeared to be an accidental low blow.

My point wasn’t that Nurse intentionally put vaseline on St. Pierre’s back (because I don’t know whether he did intentionally or not), my point was that he put vaseline on St. Pierre’s back, and that there seems to be a double standard at work in the NSAC’s logic.

On a separate note: You stay classy, Yahoo Sports headline writers! “Mailbag: Hamill comments heard loud, clear”

  37. jmechanic says:

If you met a guy through a friend and you became friends with him, and then you found out that he jerks off on a webcam for a living, youre telling me that you would not feel or treat him any differently?

A porn star having a child is a strange concept. The biggest porn star in the world having a baby with Tito Ortiz is an absolutely bizarre concept.

If Jenna Jameson wants to fuck hundreds of guys for the world to watch, plastic-surgery herself out to the point of looking like a freak, and then have twin baby Tito Ortizes, then I’m sorry, there are comments that are going to be made about it.

What is all this moralistic crap about misogyny??? She is a f%$cking pornstar!!!! She has made her millions on misogyny!!

Seriously you people like Trembow need to keep your moralizing crap to yourself. Like I said, if you found out your wife was a longtime pornstar, and you just never bothered to ask, I think you might have a problem with it. So take your non-judgemental, holier-than-thou attitude and go sermonize somewhere else.
