Of course: Florida DBPR ‘clears’ Elite XC of stand-up scandal
By Zach Arnold | October 23, 2008

Reports: NBC Sports | MMA Convert | Sherdog
Reminds me of what happened to the Kanagawa police investigation into Mr. I (aka Mr. Ishizaka) when PRIDE closed up shop in Japan and he was reportedly stuck in South Korea…
Meanwhile, Yahoo writer Dan Wetzel (why is he assigned to go to all the UFC shows now?) has a gushing article on Dana White burying Elite XC in the press for good.
Update: Franklin McNeil of ESPN has read a copy of the Florida DPBR report, including comments from Seth Petruzelli. Smoothie King Seth continues to say that “the radio show misconstrued his comments.”
Jonathan Eckrich has further comments on the history of Elite XC.

Well, it doesn’t make that much of a lick of difference now, because of ProElite going under.
Or will they come back now because of this? I remember 1PW (1 Pro Wrestling in England) went out of busienss and into liquidation (on the heels of what would have been a 1PW show with Great Muta on it). Well, about a week and a half later, they came back, and are still running shows to this day. I can see EXC coming back (probably not bringing the canceled Nov. 8th back from the dead) and looking for a new backer, or even going back into negotiations with CBS and/or Showtime.
They actually contacted Tank Abbott to ask if EliteXC had tried to influence him into standing with Kimbo????
