I really like this card. The only fight that’s a bit “meh” for me is the Spencer Fisher one.
They would have to pay me to watch Aurelio/Franca. Besides that, a really good card top to bottom.
I’m going out on a limb and predicting that Tyson Griffen vs. Sean Sherk with be Fight of the Night.

I agree. Sherk can be boring but only if his opponents can’t stop him from stalling. I think at this point Tyson is good enough to match Sherk in most aspects of the game. I expect scrambles and non stop action. Tyson by decision.
I have to disagree with the Hermes fight. Both are quite sick on the ground hermes has a huge right hand and theres a big beef with them and their camps. A compelling fight imo, but I enjoy skilled MMA and not bad kick boxing matches like most fans. (not saying 45 does)
Dan
I like the background story in the Hermes vs Aurelio fight.
silva´s always exiting to watch. the rest sucks as well as ufc 89. no highlights
Decent Card…I want to see Clementi/Maynard.
Regarding the articles about Fabricio Werdum “deserving” a title shot if he wins at UFC 90, it won’t just be at that point that he deserves a title shot.
Werdum “deserved” a title shot far more than Frank Mir. Both were coming off one win that followed losses, but in Werdum’s case he beat recent title challenger (Gabriel Gonzaga) and in Mir’s case he beat a fighter who had a 1-0 MMA record.
Far more glaring is that Werdum “deserved” a title shot far more than Brock Lesnar. Werdum was coming off of wins over Gonzaga and Vera, while Lesnar has an MMA record of 2-1.
Whether Lesnar’s going to win or not, I have no idea. Missing 15 months of action and breaking his arm twice, all while in his mid-40s, certainly hasn’t HELPED Randy Couture. But regardless of the outcome of that fight, or the Nogueira-Mir fight, or any other fight, Werdum has already “deserved” and not gotten a title shot on two separate occasions.
Meh…

Exactly…looking forward to this one big time. Too bad it’s not on the main card.
I should have stated my personal bias against Aurelio & Franca. Both are solid fighters. I just don’t enjoy watching either of them fight.
One question I have is…. When is Zuffa going to cut Pete Sell?
I really don’t get whats not to like about this card.. Its awesome top to bottom.

It’s been confirmed from other sources as well. I’m a little surprised, I thought they’d last at least until the November show.
Well Mr. Lappen?
Tito Ortiz will have to look elsewhere for employment.
Sucks…cuz the Alvarez vs Diaz matchup was awesome. Plus it was cool to watch all the random ShoXC cards.
Looks like Showtime/CBS decided to not play white knight after all. Should be interesting to see what happens to the contracts and other assets for the company in the near future, to say nothing about CBS and their future with the sport.
