Affliction’s second MMA event rescheduled to January 2009
Wednesday, September 10th, 2008Wisdom and common sense prevailed, as the backers of Affliction’s MMA promotion announced that they are postponing their 10/11 Las Vegas event. The new event date is set for January 2009 in Anaheim at the Honda Center. The move makes great sense, as UFC is so politically well-connected in Las Vegas that it is impossible […]

Marijuana isn’t just a problem in Japanese MMA or pro-wrestling
Sunday, September 7th, 2008The usage of the wacky weed in North America doesn’t exactly carry the same kind of negative connotation as it does in Japan. (Go ahead, try and bring some grass through customs at Narita Airport and enjoy your stay in jail.) As we’ve seen in both Japanese MMA and pro-wrestling circles, those who get caught […]
Defending Steve Cofield
Sunday, September 7th, 2008A lot of people apparently like to rip into him for his MMA postings online. Personally, I don’t see why there’s any hatred of Mr. Sunshine. Steve’s been a great addition to the Yahoo MMA blog. (Did you read the Yahoo MMA blog before he started posting there? No.) He brings some color and flare […]
A tale of two Kevin Ioles
