Thomas Hauser is back at it again
By Zach Arnold | September 17, 2008
Two months ago, I wrote an article about Thomas Hauser’s continuing crusade against Mixed Martial Arts. So, Hauser’s ESPN article on Tuesday featuring tons of handwringing about the potential of MMA being legalized in New York state should come as no surprise.

That Bob Reilly seems like a real jerk. He’s going to end up costing the UFC a fortune.
Let boxing have a few ring deaths every year, that’s okay with Reilly, because it doesn’t appear as brutal as UFC. Maybe Reilly will get lucky and one of those boxing deaths will occur on a MSG boxing show that would have had a UFC event instead if he hadn’t of opened his trap.
Those crazy kids and their so called Rock N Roll. It’s the devil’s music!
Unfortunately, he’s fighting a rising tide. I’m not sure if he hates MMA because of the brutality or that its emergence will eventually marginalize boxing.
Boxing and MMA can coexist. Unfortunately, only one sport is earning new fans at a rapid pace. That’s his fear. And he’s absolutely right. Within 20 years, at this pace, boxing will be the secondary combat sport.
I think if you read this stuff when you know it’s gonna be ignorant, anti-mma junk – you enjoy punishing yourself. I refuse to read whatever the dude said because there’s two or three anti-mma arguements and I’m sick of hearing them over and over.
