Sengoku 4 this weekend at Saitama Super Arena
By Zach Arnold | August 22, 2008

Amazingly quiet and little press coverage going into this weekend’s big show for World Victory Road. We know that the promotion has a show booked in Yoyogi for late September, but this weekend’s SSA event is critical for the promotion’s long-term financial health. They need to build momentum fast.

Mizuto Hirota (boxing/judo/sumo)
Hirota`s background is sumo?
Where in hell did you get that idea?
Judo/sumo originated in a common martial art (for some reason I’m thinking sumo is a split of judo). There are plenty of low level rikishi that never go anywhere.
The promotion’s web page. What can I say?
Machida has sumo training. it’s not unusual for any male of Japanese descent to have some sumo training.
also, Hwan is DEEP’s champion.
If you guys are looking for some more info on this show, this past week we (Sherdog) did video interviews and filmed training with Mitsuoka, Kitaoka and Hirota and Breen interviewed Shultz and there is an article up on Sherdog about Trigg’s fight too.
Press conferences and weigh-ins still to come.
Lyoto also has trained in the arts of sumu & judu.
