Well, they got my money…and I’m heading up to the weigh ins today as well.
I had heard a few months back that the UFC was comming to Chicago (my home town) through a friend of mine who owns a fight gear company. I wasn’t 100% sure on his source (which seems very credable now) so I picked up tickets for the Min. event wish I would have waited now, but im sure the UFC will appreciate my money twice. Also I have been a fan of this sight sence you started it Zack, so if you want me to help you out with anything at these events let me know. Being a long time fan of this sport I have a few contacts in this sport not many granted (lol) but a few. So just let me know.
I was able to request 8 $50 tickets one day away. How is that close to sold out?
I couldn’t even request 1 $50 ticket for a UFC evemt on the same day tickets go on sale!
It doesn’t look good for Affliction.
Which is a better bet tomorrow night? I think Fedor and Silva will both win, but if I *had* to pick an underdog I’d drop $100 on Irvin.
Ultimate Fighting Championships
Anderson Silva -500
James Irvin +350
Affliction MMA
Fedor Emelianenko -350
Tim Sylvia +275
Wow…what a total clusterf*ck this Affliction weigh-in has been.
Terrible lighting, Buffer mispronouncing names (“Vitor Belfrot”?!?) or getting hometowns wrong, long lag times between weigh-ins, not having fighters ready or there to come on stage and tons and tons of confusion.
Not a promising start.
I just read the Buentello fight is off — very sad, was hoping to see this one. CA athletic commision is no joke.
Apparently Aleks E didn’t “meet the licensing requirements”…what exactly does that even mean? The CSAC is such a gong show most of the time, that while I obviously don’t know what the issue is, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was some f*ck up or petty problem on their part.
Funniest part of the weigh-ins: Michael Buffer announces tickets are still available and puts on the hard sell – only to have Donald Trump make a claim not 10 minutes later that the show is a capacity sell out. Awesome.
10 Minutes is plenty of time to sell out his lies for Donald Trump.

Got to love show-business.. I am SO pissed Aleks is not fighting… I love to watch the two Russian brothers fight due to their Sambo/Judo backgrounds.
“10 minutes if plenty of time to sell out his lies for Donald Trump” LOL HAHAHA!
