  1. Yeah. Until MMA reaches the point of maturity/exposure where the majority of its audience isn’t ignorant, there won’t be any kind of tangible demand for objectivity in the announcer’s booth.

I’m not a Mauro fan at all, but his skills are really perfect for radio. He’s a great host and flows excellent. I wish the HC sports radio download page was more user friendly.

  3. Hey Zach, thanks for spelling my name right in the headline. More than I can say for some of your “peers”..:)

  5. hence the quotation marks, Boris Kayfabian!:)

  6. cyphron says:

    I heart Mauro.

  7. I heard the explanation re: the dancers and dj etc and the guys talking about how much fun they had and how great they felt it went but I didn’t really hear anyone address the comments from across the bloggamasphere that Mauro’s really climbed to the top of cheeseball mountain lately.

I always spelled it ‘Renallo’. For shame!

  8. The Gaijin says:

I’ve always like Mauro’s pbp but I think the current “poor-man’s Denis Miller” of mma schtick leaves a little to be desired.

  9. it’s way too ‘it slices and dices’ for me …

  10. David says:

Yeah Mauro rocks, plus he posts on FightOpinion.com πŸ™‚
