The WEC should have been listed as a candidate for promotion of the year, and I’d have voted for them.
It’s a shame Guida vs Huerta wasn’t nominated for FOTY.
Yeah, I was not happy with the fight of the year candidates. They left several (at the least) worthy fights off the table.
I have to admit, I am perplexed by some of the choices.
Mac Danzig for rookie of the year? Seriously? Not only for the fact that he’s hardly a rookie, but if you did he’s still only 1-2 on the year.
Melvin Manhoef for cult fighter of the year? (The description of the question is: “The fighter with the funniest antics in and out of the ring.”)
No Cage Rage or WEC for promotion of the year?
Best German whuh?
Gonzaga should be on the list for most improved and Tyson Griffin/Guida should be on the list for Fight of the Year.
I can’t choose between Mayhem or Minowaman for Cult Fighter of the Year
I would have loved to vote Manhoef vs. Yong Dik Soon for fight of the year, but it was not a candidate. So I chose Shamrock vs. Baroni. I chose Minowa for cult fighter of the year. I am pretty sure I chose K-1 HERO’S as promotion of the year. Boxer of the year I chose Miguel Cotto.
