Mirko Cro Cop to appear at Hustle 12/31 Saitama event
By Zach Arnold | December 24, 2007

The headline says it all, as the report claims that Hustle Entertainment is pushing Mirko’s appearance at their Hustle 12/31 Saitama Super Arena event. Comments attributed to Cro Cop were issued in a media release.
The publicity stunt should come as no surprise to anyone who follows the politics of Japanese MMA, as Cro Cop’s agent is Ken Imai (formerly of K-1). Imai was/is very close to DSE boss Nobuyuki Sakakibara.
If Cro Cop appears, it will probably be the most noteworthy event coming out of the lackluster Hustle and Yarennoka happenings (unless Fedor loses in the main event). Will UFC care about this appearance taking place?

Cro Cop vs. HG with Eddie Sanchez as the Ref. That would be HUGE in the land of the rising sun!!!
Next Headline: UFC buys HUSTLE
I think Mirko just only want to say hello to Japaness fans. With UFC’s contract, he will hard to step in Yarennoka rings, but appearing at Hustle(a pro wrestling event) seems not to be a problem.
You ask me, this is a sign that things are not good between the UFC and Mirko. Mirko has been talking about wanting to be back in the ring for January … all the while UFC continues to claim that they ‘haven’t heard back from Mirko’s people’ for the past two months.
Something stinks
The UFC will not be amused.
I reckon Mirko will fight a complete nobody and kick his head off….cue….he could destroy Fedor hysteria….Or maybe just maybe Dana is doin smart business and loaning out Mirko to appease the Japanese business folks in MMA, in case anything good/worthwhile occurrs out of these events/new groupings and Dana can try cash in an old favour.
HUSTLE is Puroresu (Japanese Pro Wrestling), not MMA.
Lets not be silly Tomer if hes at one hes at the other.
Didn’t Mark Hunt make and appearance at the recent Hustlemania show?, unless theres something I’m missing here this definitely won’t involve any legit fighting.
