After losing today to Ryo Kawamura in the main event of Pancrase’s March 18th event at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Hiromitsu Kanehara announced his intentions of retiring from active fighting in the near future. Don’t be hatin’, he gave us “House Party” !

  3. CapnHulk says:

What the hell does Snoop Dog know about MMA?

  4. The Citizen says:

Wow. Can’t wait to see the qualified Hip-Hop talent show up and really show how corporate rhyme skills translate into proper “MMA” technique.

This “sport” has become a watered-down greed fest of fakers.

Hey you guys remember this one–
Fake MC’s they always act hard, but Can’t walk the streets without their body-guards.

Not only should this show focus on fighting, but perhaps the fighters should bust some rhymes and do some cool shit.

Does anyone see a rainstorm of crappy, idiotic promotions and promoters on the way?

    Please. Its not too late.

    Bring back Jo-San.

    “Throw a fire-ball dude!”

  5. Mr. Roadblock says:

They’re trying to do a real live version of the Def Jam Vendetta video game. I’m sure it’s going to be real classy. And “Iron Ring”? What it isn’t going to have wood and padding under the canvas?

  6. Mr1000Cent says:

Wow, a ring made completely of iron, I would just tune in to see how that looks :D.

  7. Preach says:

I wonder if they’ll stick with what they said first, that every fighter on the show will be “managed” by a Rapper, and that they’ll have an on-air “Comissioner”…

  8. Harold says:

the BET show looks like total crap

  9. mose says:

RIP Curt Henning and Bobby Duncam Jr.

we could really use the West Texas Rednecks right about now…

West Texas Rednecks, “I Hate Rap”

    I like country music
    I love country girls
    I like Willie Nelson
    And don’t forget about Merle

There’s only one thing that I hate,
Cause it’s a bunch of crap
    IIIIIIII hate rap

    I like nascar racing
    Richard Petty’s still the king
Yeah, they call me a red neck,
But you know that’s a beautiful thing

There’s only one thing that I hate,
Cause it’s a bunch of crap
    IIIIIIII hate rap

There’s only one thing that I hate,

    Raaaaaaaaaaaap is crap

  10. Liger05 says:

The judging in the Barrera fight was a joke!!!

  11. Liger05 says:

Zach was Minoru Suzuki on the Pancrase card? If so who did he wrestle and result?

  12. Mr. Roadblock says:

    I can’t wait for Chuck/Rampage II.

  13. PizzaChef says:

I think it’s way too early for Rampage vs. Liddell 2. Rampage isin’t ready. I would of booked this in the fall.

  14. David says:

I don’t think Rampage has been built up enough yet, but then again who else is there for Chuck to fight? Is Chuck at the point in his career where people will pay 40 dollars to see him fight someone they know he will knock out? If so, perhaps putting him against James Irvin or Sam Hoger on the same card as Rampage co-main events against someone who he can dominate and knock out would be a good build-up to their fight.

My guess is that if Liddell beats Rampage, he will move up to hw and challenge Mirko, who will be coming off a KO victory over Couture.

  15. klown says:

Rampage will lose and go on to fight Tito Ortiz.

Liddell will win and move up to heavyweight and challenge CroCop for the belt.

  16. The Gaijin says:

Rampage and Tito won’t fight each other. Their boys from Team Punishment days are they not??

I don’t necessarily think Liddell has this as easily as people think. Watch the Tito II fight…If Rampage can get a few bombs in there like Tito did – Rampage hits alot harder than Tito and he’s not afraid to stand in the pocket and move forward. And he’ll definately be going in to toss out a few of his big slams…not like the lily head down prayer shots that Ortiz was failing miserably at getting.

  17. Rollo the Cat says:

Am I the only one who really doesn’t care about Chuck v Rampage. I do care, but not to the extent that the match has been talked about and hyped. I wasn’t screaming to see this one.

Rampage hasn’t looked so hot for a few years now. He hasn’t done much lately and I can name 5-6 LHWs I think are better. I’ll still watch.

  18. PizzaChef says:

Rampage will never fight Ortiz. They are like best friends. And Rollo, that’s why I would of booked it in the fall or maybe next year. I want to give Rampage a chance at another hot streak and to find some better training partners. Then the fight would be just hyped through the roof if it goes according to plan.

  19. Rampage and Ortiz won’t fight, they’ve said this many many times. While I agree the UFC should have booked rampage a few more times to develop him as a star, what can you do – people bitch out the UFC for coddling their fighters and bitch them out when they don’t. In the end Rampage is a very experienced fighter and if he’s capable of pulling this off then he will … remember this is the guy who beat Matt Lindland in the WFA. Besides, there’s always the rubber match if he loses, so in the end it doesn’t really matter.

I think Chuck won’t move up to HW unless the UFC lets him … there’s a very nice round robin of fighters right now in heavyweight to compete against eachother and there’s simply no ‘need’ to have him added right now. It’s kind of funny that the HW division was considered so lacking just six months ago and now doing much better than the LHW division, which was the marquee division just two years ago.

  20. Jordan Breen says:

“Zach was Minoru Suzuki on the Pancrase card? If so who did he wrestle and result?”

He’s on the April Okinawa card.

  21. grafdog says:

Its funny that Ruas complains about Mc Kee’s style but when he fought Maurice Smith he went for the td and control just like Mc Kee.

And by the way, weren’t they suppposed to fight again last night?
I heard nothing as to why it was adverstised but never happened.

I’d like to see an Igor vs Frank re-match.

Medical tests prior to fights need to be inforced more vigorously, and after fights fighters who suffer head trauma during a fight should be medicated with a cannibas sativa (weed) supplement, this will help prevent brain damage that may occur after head truama or a stroke.
I’m not a pothead, its just that there are some legitimate medical benefits to weed as medicine. Conclusive repeated scientific experiments over the past 20 years have proven this.

  22. Kev says:

Smith vs. Ruas was cancelled by the CSAC, Kurt Otto was talking about the scratch around the same time he apologized for The Battleground Debacle.

  23. Yeah, it was cancelled because CSAC decided the guys were too old.

  24. AJAX says:

Liddell Vs. Rampage I was a great fight. It was two guys just throwing bombs at each other, and hopefully it goes that way again. I hope Rampage blows Chuck up.

  25. MMA Training says:

If the fight goes into the later rounds then I think Rampage will win. Simply because Chuck’s gas tank will be empty and Jackson’s won’t.
