  1. WAR GSP! says:

Thanks for posting the post fight press conference – a good watch. Confirmation that Vera will definitely fight Sylvia next… something I dont even think Brandon knows yet – or at least he didnt say so when he was on the Beatdown, which was recorded the day after.

  2. KOP The Tame says:

GSP makes a good living. I’m sure he made some money for TUF4.

  3. Mike says:

Do you think the Canadian Press reporters are ever going to get it through their thick skulls that UFC main eventers get bonuses on top of their base pay?

  4. Mike says:

    Pay-per-view bonuses that is.

  5. The Gaijin says:

Is there every any release of that information? I’m just wondering what the pay scale ends up being. I’m sure guys like Sakara and Hardonk etc. aren’t getting ppv shares.

Some were saying Gracie made like $1.2M+ for his appearance and Liddel was collecting $500K in his title defense…any substance to those claims?

That’s some pretty good bank for GSP – more than Franklin was making it seems.

  6. The Gaijin says:

Woah…just read that Dana’s getting a hook-up with the Maloof brothers…those boys have some serious bank. Looks like good times for the UFC these days, hopefully Vera can end Sylvia’s reign of bore and add some excitement to the stagnant HW division.

That being said, what’s with professional fight sports in N/A when none of the HW divisions are of any draw whatsoever…the UFC its really the lead balloon of the whole organization.

  7. Lynchman says:

    The Gaijin,

From what I understand, Chuck has ended up taking home over one million for each of his last two fights.

Rich Franklin reportedly ended up making around 280k for his Loiseau fight.

The fighters in the two main fights of each UFC ppv make bonus money based on how the show dpes.

In addition, 20K goes to the Sub of the Night, KO/TKO of the Night and to each particiapnt of the Fight of the Night,

  8. Preach says:

Am I the only one who thinks: Jason Aiello/The World Fighter = John Collins/MECW ? It’s just too similar…

  9. mmastyles says:

who do you think will take the Gracie vs. Newton IFL superfight? Newton took their first match-up in 03 but it was a split decision….i hear both guys are in shape…

  10. JOSH says:

mmastyles- Considering Newton didnt look to great in his recent fight on HEROS and Gracie took out Militech rather easily in IFL..I would give it to Renzo. I think Newton may just be too past his prime. But who knows hopefuilly it will be as good as their firts match as that was one of the ebst figths I have ever seen.

  11. Preach says:

Newton. Sure, he showed some ring rust in his last fight, but what would you expect of someone who hadn’t fought for 2 years before that? As for Renzo – he’s been fighting VERY infrequently in the last years, usually just once a year, so that’s not too much of a difference. Yeah, he beat Miletich, but not only was it his only win in the last 5 years, but also against a guy his age, and someone who hadn’t fought for more than 4 years, a guy who retired because of numerous chronic injuries. That win may look good on paper, just because he beat a “name” in Miletich, but considering all the facts it doesn’t really look that good. And let’s not forget the fact that Renzo’s getting up there in age. He’s almost 10 years older than Carlos, and let’s face it, not everyone is a physical specimen like Randy, who peaked hitting 40. I honestly don’t think that the fight will go the distance as in their first encounter…
