Wednesday media round-up

The arena was chock full of hardcore MMA fans. And by that I mean the hardest of the hard. It was as if I had been inserted into a virtual reality Internet message board.

You’re telling me his name ISN’T REALLY KEI GRAND?
I feel like killing myself now.
Admit it – it’s a great ring name. And he is excellent on TV.
Will Rickson Gracie have a retirement fight in Hero’s?
Well, I’m gonna stick my neck out here fellas…..bear with me on this one……..no.
On the subject of “Kei Grand” who remembers that awesome exploding ball intro at PRIDE 14?
That was him inside it wasn’t it?
Well it don’t matter if it was or it wasn’t I just wanted to share to remind everyone of “the exploding ball”.
Where would MMA (or life itself) be without the exploding balls of PRIDE?!?!?!?!
Yeah, I remember the exploding ball. Wasn’t his face projected onto it?
But on more serious matters… I wonder if there are any behind-the-scenes discussions between PRIDE and WWE. How else to explain Shane McMahon’s presence at Real Deal as “an invited guest.” That could make for an unstoppable partnership (unless Vince McMahon acts like a tyrannical jackass… which, as I think about it, is almost a sure thing). WWE already has the TV deals, and with pro-wrestling in a steady descent, McMahon could be looking to jump on an established product (rather than try to build one from the ground up).
You missed this one on Sherdog from monday, it’s equally as good as The Savage Truth. http://www.sherdog.com/news/articles.asp?n_id=5953
Lennelle Malts, ftw?
🙁 She will always be Lenne Hardt in my heart… *cries*
