- There is a report that Calvin Ayre (under the BoDog banner) is going to be a sponsor for Scott Coker’s Strikeforce show on October 7th in Fresno, California. Here are two reports (here and here) on the new BoDog MMA show.
- The Honolulu Star-Bulletin reports that Frank Trigg will fight Jason “Mayhem” Miller for the December 1st Icon Sport event at Blaisdell Arena.
- Ivan Trembow analyzes the latest TUF ratings and tries to solve the question about what the TV viewers want from UFC’s reality show.
- And for boxing fans, Bernard Hopkins may come out of retirement.

Is the bodog thing new? I know the Bodog logo has been on all the promo material i’ve seen for Strikeforce the past week and a half. I wonder if this is just to raise bodogfight’s visibility in the MMA world or this could be the beginning of a bigger partnership between bodog and strikeforce.
So, is Bodog just the name of his mma-promotion, or also of his online gambling-business? If so, would advertising even be allowed in the US?
They are starting a new promotion to market the bodog name. They were supposed to have a PPV live from California in November with Roger Gracie vs. Don Frye on top. The ring won’t be approved in CA by then though so the show won’t happen then (according to Meltzer in the latest Observer). They have also made a huge money offer to Brock Lesnar to fight Roger Gracie after he has his debut fight in HEROS.
