Update on ECC 3 show

The Chronicle Herald newspaper (in Halifax) reports that ECC 3 promoter Peter Martell wants elbow strikes (similar to what you see in UFC) to be allowed.
Suffice to say, the local media in Halifax is taking this request as Martell trying to add blood and violence to the event.

I believe Pride has it correct on this, ECC should not allow elbows.. Unfortunately winning by bleeding from an elbow stike is becoming too common.
And losing a litre of blood on the mat, as Yves did, will not help the sport in any way. Yves could still have fought technically, but the doctors did the right thing by not allowing it.
