Today’s show in Holland at the Amsterdam Arena proved to be quite a long show. How long? Try 16 matches. No results on the English K-1 page, but they had them on the Japanese page. Results (well, most of them anyways, K-1’s Japanese page didn’t report on all the fights) from today’s show…

  1. MMA Rules: Hakeem Golan defeated Dave Darius in R1 with a cross-arm scissors hold.
  2. K-1 Rules: Morad Deleski defeated Fikri Duabate in R1 by TKO from referee stoppage.
  3. Reserve fight: Gokhan Saki defeated Rani Berbachi after 3R by judges’ decision.
  4. Reserve fight: Rodney Faverus defeated Jon Delgado after 3R by judges’ decision.
  5. Joeri Mes defeated Ramon Dekker after 3R by judges’ decision.
  6. No result listed for Drago vs. Ray Stalin
  7. Tournament: Alexey Ignashov defeated Petr Vondracek in R2 by KO.
  8. Tournament: Melvin Manhoef defeated Tatsufumi Tomihira in R1 by KO with a left hook.
  9. Tournament: Bjorn Bregy defeated Freddy Kemayo in R3 by KO with a straight right.
  10. Tournament: Naoufal “Iron Leg” defeated Attila Karacs in R1 by KO with a right high-kick.
  11. Semmy Schilt defeated Lloyd Van Dams after 3R by a 3-0 judges’ decision.
  12. Tournament: Ghokan Saki defeated Alexey Ignashov after 3R by judges’ decision.
  13. Tournament: Bjorn Bregy defeated Naoufal “Iron Leg” in R2 by KO.
  14. Remy Bonjasky defeated Jerome Le Banner after 3R by judges’ decision.
  15. Tournament Finals: Bjorn Bregy defeated Ghokan Saki.
  16. Ernesto Hoost defeated Peter Aerts after 3R by judges’ decision. This was originally scheduled to be Hoost vs. Bob Sapp, but that fight was replaced at the last minute.

Gryphon’s thoughts on Sapp’s match cancellation.

Update: MMAWeekly reports that there was a contractual dispute between Sapp and K-1 management.
