A public service announcement for Sacramento fans

Erin Bucknell & I had heard rumblings about a big MMA show taking place at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, California for a couple of weeks. It turns out that Erin found a notice on Ticketmaster about the IFC promotion running a show on April 1st at the building.

So, I decided to go to the IFC home page and find out what the card for the show is. No card line-up. As of this time right now (March 22nd), the home page still says: April 1 Arco Arena Press Release coming soon… very soon

Fortunately, the Arco Arena home page has a card listed for the IFC show on 4/1. Unfortunately, the formatting of the text is less-than-desirable. Therefore, here’s a clean-looking list of fights that are scheduled for the event:

  1. Erin says:

Well, at least I finally heard a radio ad for the show today. They are advertising Faber so I guess thats a go.

  2. Clint says:

Actually Faber supposedly had no idea he was going to be advertised. I think he said it on the Beatdown over @ sherdog.com

  3. Erin says:

Oh that’s just great planning there, sigh. Well I’ll just go not expecting him to be there.

  4. rabies says:

Wait a minute, if this line-up is accurate, does the CSAC allow one-night tournaments, unlike the NSAC and NJSAC?

  5. Erin says:

Oh geez, I didn’t even think about that. From all that I have heard, CA’s rules follow closely with NV’s. This is starting to look like a giant cluster-f*ck. Well, if nothing else, it will make an interesting story.

  6. Clint says:

IIRC, the CSAC does allow tournaments.
