Nogueira’s next match in PRIDE

whenever Sankei Sports has an article about someone in PRIDE wanting to face someone on an upcoming show, it’s important to at least pay attention to it because Sankei is the Fuji TV line of media (as in Fuji TV is the network paying PRIDE). You know some parts of these types of stories are true, some of it is hype, and some of it is an insight into the brain of DSE’s thinking process. Sankei’s article is about Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira wanting a match with Emelianenko Fedor this year (the article talks about Nogueira hoping Fedor works the open-weight tournament). In addition, the article claims that Nogueira is “demanding” either Josh Barnett or Hidehiko Yoshida as his opponent for the 5/5 Osaka Dome open-weight tournament show. Reaction to this story on Sherdog.

Well, Fedor vs Yoshida is the money match but it might draw more viewers and money on NY Eve so perhaps its best delayed.
