Here is an interesting review of the show Chuck Norris produced last Saturday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. Money quote:
All in all, it was an alright show. If the WCL wants to compete with UFC, K-1, and PRIDE FC then they’ll need to do some serious work to make their product more interesting and appealing to fans of MMA. One suggestion would be to let the women fight more. Another would be to allow submissions, or extend the rounds. The WCL has potential, I just hope Chuck can think of something to make it better.
Meanwhile, here is a show report review online of the 1/20 Rumble on the Rock show.

Zack,
If Mr. Norris changed the product as you suggest then it would be mma. Make rounds longer, add submissions, sounds like mma to me. The WCL is a different product than mma, K1, even regular kickboxing. Hopefully this product will attract the audience that mma does not, not just attract the mma audience. Wish us luck.
I didn’t suggest any changes. The quote is from someone’s review of the show. 🙂
Feel free to talk about WCL or any other fight projects on here. I want to hear some more news about the events.
