  1. Jeremy (not that Jeremy) says:

Hasn’t had a Zuffa contract in over two years. Bummed around in lower circuits and then he had that “title fight” against Bigfoot.

It’s entirely possible that he was in contract limbo due to EliteXC’s problems.

  2. Chuck says:

Shit! Another MMA death? God damn man! RIP Justin Eilers. I feel for the man’s family.

  3. dave2 says:

Apparently the killer may have been Justin’s mom’s boyfriend. This has Jerry Springer trash written all over it.

“How can I get airtime out of this?”-Marc Mero

  5. Fluyid says:

Nice to hear your pleasant judgment of the situation, Dave2. You’ve added tons to the discussion.

  6. Ivan Trembow says:

““How can I get airtime out of this?”-Marc Mero”

That’s a low blow with no basis in reality. Marc Mero was one of the only people telling the truth about the drug problems in the pro wrestling industry after Chris Benoit murdered his wife and son. Other than Mero, you had alcoholics saying that there was no drinking problem in pro wrestling, you had steroid users saying that there was no steroid problem in pro wrestling, and you had pain pill addicts saying that there was no pain pill problem in pro wrestling. Many of the same people who railed against Mero, while swearing that they had never touched steroids and neither had anyone else that they knew of, were busted for steroids shortly thereafter in the Signature Pharmacy bust. Also, WWE’s scumbag lawyer Jerry McDevitt went on television and blatantly lied numerous times, including about things as basic as whether testosterone is a steroid or not. Marc Mero was one of the only people not sugar-coating the pro wrestling industry’s horrible problems.
