  1. Rollo the Cat says:

It peaked so early. Why? Because of the two Japanese fighters?

  2. ttt says:

    i would assume yes

i read some stuff from K-1Fans.com Forum and seems like all of the tournament fights were extremely marginal. haven’t had a chance to watch them yet, but these fights at least were supposed to be excellent in quality.

  3. Rolf Rosenstein says:

Well the attendance isn’t bad for Budokan. That’s positve for MA in Japan. Not MMA per se but it helps.

    Double R

  4. Rollo the Cat says:

Another reason the Affliction/GB alliance is a bad idea. I watched all those fights yesterday and it seems to take me more than 24 hours to get back into the MMA watching mode. My interest in MMA is there, but my mind needs to adjust back to watching MMA. Same goes for MMA to Kickboxing.

Now consider that boxing is even more different from MMA and I wouldn’t be able to stand watching them both on the same night.

  5. Samscaff says:

What was up with the new format??

What happened to the 1-night 8-man K1 tournament??

They only changed it because Masato couldnt hang on til the final last year.

However, the final between Masato and Kyshenko was absolutely dynamite. Masato appeared to be down and out in the 2nd round, but got up and rallied hard. He’s far and way the best Japanese fighter since Sakuraba.

  6. David says:

I was thinking, Sato, use your reach, use your knees, but Masato is wayy too quick.
