One month to go until EXC show in South Florida

By Zach Arnold | September 2, 2008

Print Friendly and PDF

They desperately need to get the card for this show finalized by the end of this week and start pumping out PR for it immediately if they want any chance of being successful here. They have no time to waste at all.

  1. catch says:

I live in Fort Lauderdale, as of now there’s pretty much zero local buzz for the card.

  2. Dave says:

That is the thing. It is one thing to have a show on national broadcast television, it is another to actually promote it.

  3. MMA Fan says:

Kimbo vs Ken Shamrock is the easiest fight ever to promote. pathetic.

  4. IceMuncher says:

It’s like EliteXC and CBS aren’t even trying. I haven’t heard a peep about this card other than on the web.

I knew a lot of casual fans that didn’t even realize that EliteXC had their second show on CBS. They can’t afford to make that mistake again; this show will probably break them if it fails.

  5. rhys says:

haha elite xc are going down the tubes fast.

wonder where kimbo is going to go when they go outta business.

I think strikeforce will pick him up, they are the only reasonably big promotion that will keep feeding him cans. Kimbo would not want to fight in Japan for DREAM because he is well known and beloved by the seppo audience.

Anyone the UFC would match him up against he would lose badly to. Brock, Fabricio, Mcully, Gonzaga, Carwin, Velasquez, Kongo, Herring, even Coleman.

Same with Affliction, he would not last 2 seconds with the likes of Barnett, Andrei, Pedro, Nelson, Rothwell, Fedor, Buentello, even Goodridge would smoke his ass.
