“Who are these fuckin’ guys?”
Both referees have done decent jobs when I have seen them. But I am surprised the UFC couldn’t get their regulars on the card.
I surprised the UFC can’t use their regular refs., you’d think they’d want them for better assurance of quality officiating. I wouldn’t risk safety by having refs. not accustomed to the octagon, the spotlight, and whos familiar with the fighters.
All of the staff that the NJACB is using for UFC 78 is local staff that has done fine work at past MMA shows. I don’t blame the ACB for sticking with local employees.
Something tells me those choices will change. Money talks.

45 – You really think that the UFC is going to be able to pay off the NJACB to get their own refs in there?
Dan and Kevin are both very decorated martial artists who have reffed at IFL, Ring of Combat, Cage Fury, Bodog, Reality Fighting, Extreme Challenge, Battle Cage Xtreme, World’s Best Fighter, Euphoria, Mixed Fighting Championships and Sportfighting for us. They are both from New Jersey and are very experienced.
We do not allow promoters to pick referees or judges for boxing, kick boxing or mixed martial arts.
These refs looked and performed very proffesionally…move over Big John Mcarthy and co. there are some new refs in town
