Saturday media splash: UFC the hottest topic in US media circles
By Zach Arnold | May 25, 2007
If you haven’t already, make sure to listen to our latest radio show (previewing the UFC 71 event) before watching Rampage vs. Liddell.
Dana White discussed the PRIDE asset sale in The Orange County Register newspaper:
“It’s going to happen. Believe me. There are a lot of things people can say about me, but one of the things they can’t say about me is I always do what I say I’m going to do. OK. No matter how hard it is or how tough it is or what it’s going to take to get it done … I get it done. One way or another we’ll get this thing done and you guys will see the top guys fight the top guys. It’s going to happen no matter what, no matter how painful it is, no matter how long it takes, this thing is going to get figured out and it’s going to happen. That, you have my word.

Cage Rage – THE MOVIE officially announced.
“one of the things they can’t say about me is I always do what I say I’m going to do”
Meaning “I don’t always do what I say i’m going to do”
Sounds like a disclamer to me.
Or perhaps he mis-spoke and meant to say “can say about me”
However his initial statement is accurate. Mr white has of course made claims that were never realized in the past.
Dear lord…not Carrot Top…
Great FO show this week. I heard Whaledog change his preciction back to Liddell after Erin rounded off the broadast, by the way. I’ll be happy to witness in court.

Too bad his website doesn’t change as much as his opinion.
I’m listening to the cowherd piece and while i do enjoy him i can’t quite agree that mma was started on the west coast, that rogan is the “jon madden” of the sport, or that it really is a sport. the ufc obviously has blown the f up, but as some of us may know, the real truth about how this came to be will be now buried under layers and layers of mass media junk. i never really gave thought to the mainstream of the events — all i care to see is good matchups with good technique — that is why to many of us look with such high regard to pride. the event itself was way larger then life and it was if you were watching something that could never exist. thats the japanese for you. american style production is much more annie get your gun in contrast to the japanese space/tech/old meets new world universe events.
I wonder how Vince feels about NBC swinging off UFC’s nuts
