Rogan out, Couture in at UFC 61.
By Luke | July 8, 2006

I guess this has been known for months, although I had no idea, that Joe Rogan has a gig at a comedy show in Boston tonight and won’t be available to do colour commentary for UFC 61 tonight.
It delights me to say that Randy Couture will replace him tonight. I’m hoping this works out so well, that Joe Rogan’s role on the broadcasts is either reduced, or eliminated all together. I really like the legitimacy, and integrity that Randy Couture would bring to the broadcast booth as a former fighter, and former multi-time UFC champion.

Call the police because we as fans got robbed. Its a shame that the spike tv events are better than the ppv. We as fans deserve better especially if it cost 39.95 .Bring Rogan back he add energy and excitement to the events.

The Joe Rogan comedy gig in Boston is part of a New England tour that he is doing. I think I read it in Wrestling Observer that when Rogan comes back from his tour the UFC commentary booth will be a 3-man team: Goldberg, Rogan, and Couture.
Sounds like I’m one of the few that like Rogan. He is a “colourful” commentator! And surprisingly he does know his stuff. I found Couture’s coverage to be good, but missing excitement.
